ABCD 2 starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor saw a strong opening weekend and is estimated to have collected Rs 45 crore at the box office, according to analysts.
"With the advance booking for Sun looking very good, ABCD2 is looking at Rs 45 cr [+/-] opening weekend, which is phenomenal," Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Sunday.
According to the analyst, the film collected Rs 14.30 crore on its opening day and Rs 14.51 crore on Saturday, at the domestic box office.
ABCD 2 is a Disney movie and has been produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur. The film has been directed by Remo D' Souza and stars dancing sensation Prabhu Deva alongside Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor.
ABCD 2 is the second movie from the franchise as the title itself suggests. Prabhudeva returns to reprise his role in ABCD 2 after the 2013 film, which was also directed by Remo D'Souza.
